Si Satchanalai Historical Park ,the ancient town of Si Satchanalai, formerly known as Mueang Chaliang.
The Sukhothai Historical Park covers the ruins of Sukhothai, which literally means "Dawn of Happiness"
Si Satchanalai National Park, formerly called Pa Kha or Pa Kha Luang. It was initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to conserve the water source and natural resources.
Located on the right side of the Sukhothai Historical Park, the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum houses many artefacts found from archaeological excavations in Sukhothai.
This is where the golden Sukhothai-style Buddha image,made of 9-10 kilogramme gold, or Phra Phuttha - Sukhophothong, in the subduing Mara attitude, is enshrined.
